Born with a passion for loving animals Arlene spent her youth bringing home every dog
and cat until Mom finally said yes. For the past 35 years she spent many an hour
rescuing our four-legged friends. Arlene has made sure that they received loving homes
they so deserved and speak for those who can't make their plight known.

Brought up in Zimbabwe, Barbara was always surrounded by dogs from the time she was
young. With Mom's help as a chauffeur she showed up on every opportunity to assist at
her local humane rescue. As she moved around the world, in Israel she became involved
with training disabled soldiers to handle and be guided by guide dogs. After returning
to South Africa, she decided to make her journey across the ocean to the United States
to Pet Orphans. She now has the pleasure to continue her work with animals as they find
their way into their forever homes. |

Jeff Brady
Kennel Supervisor
Whether it be making pound transfers and selections
or deciding what food to feed or which dogs to house together, Jeff is
always there offering his assistance. Working to enhance the quality of life
for all our residents and making sure they are all plump and happy, Jeff
cares for their daily needs and his as well. After all the WORK is done, you
can find Jeff in the yard or kennel runs cuddling and kissing our dogs getting
his needs filled.
Jeff enjoys coming to work as much as the first day
he saw all the critters who needed him. Jeff even schedules his days off apart
because he can't go more than one day without caring for his kids. No matter the
extra work load, Jeff is always more than happy to introduce new stress reducing
programs into the kennel. If it's good for the animals it's good for Jeff. One
could only hope that animal caregivers everywhere worked as hard and were as caring
as our Jeff.

Amanda Yocom and Bryg
Kennel Staff
Amanda's lifelong goal has always been to help the lives of animals. She volunteered with
L.A. Animal Services for about 2 years helping out at East Valley shelter or doing mobile
pet adoptions, helping dogs find their forever homes. At home you can find her with her 5
wonderful dogs, 3 fabulous kitty cats, a duck, a bunny, and a couple of different reptiles
that she loves to spend her free time with. In the kennel you can find her snuggling with
the doggies or cuddling up with the kitties, being at Pet Orphans has given her the
opportunity to achieve her goal and express her love for animals.

David Yocom
Kennel Staff
David is a great pair of hands around the kennel, growing up he had many pets and that's
where his love for animals started. Growing up in a city where stray dogs were a growing
problem he saw that someone needed to be the voice for these little guys. David was always
there to lend a helping hand to the helpless, his passion is what brought him here to Pet
Orphans. Throughout the day you can find him cleaning up after the kids, caring for the
kitties, or lending a helping hand wherever it is needed.

Sumi Klaytang
Week Day Groomer ext. 29
Sumi could never pass a dog without wanting them to look good. Because of this and
her love for animals it was natural for her to learn to groom. She went for her schooling
first in Thailand in 2005 and groomed there until she came to America and went to back to
school in 2007 to learn all the hair cuts that go with the breeds that are here. Sumi stays
updated attending grooming shows and seminars to keep her skills at their best and she is a
member of Southern Professional California Groomer Assoc. and International Professional
Groomer (IPG).
