Pet Orphans recently rescued Raven from a city shelter. When we found her, she had a
terrible limp but didn't let it get in the way of her exuberant, loving personality.
After a visit to the vet, it was discovered that Raven had a broken pelvis and a shattered
femur that had healed incorrectly due to a lack of medical attention. She had most
likely been hit by a car and left to heal without medication or surgery. Please help us
cover the over $2500 in medical bills we spent to give Raven a brighter future.

Meet Hershey (formerly Mocca) - A very special girl with a very interesting situation.
Rescued from the infirmary at the East Valley Shelter and brought to our Van Nuys
facility, this beautiful 1 ½ year old Lab mix suffered from an unknown ailment. After
much time and many specialist veterinary visits, it was determined from a biopsy of the
growth found on the top of the right paw to be a rare condition called Fibroadnexal
Hamartoma. A what!!!!! That's what we said. It is a benign cancerous tumor. Although
rare, this tumor can be found more often on shepherds and labs. Because of its location
on Hershey, it must be removed to avoid amputation of the leg. We need your help in
raising the funds to cover the cost of radiation and surgery so Hershey can return to the
vibrant active lifestyle she so enjoys in her new found home.
Please join in our plight and give to our Good Samaritan program and earmark for Hershey.
Every dollar counts. Thank you.
