POSC, in our efforts to promote retention and happy, healthy relationships, provides either a 6-week training course or in-home management program
for dogs who need a little extra guidance in adapting to their new home and pack members. Also, when adopting puppies under 1 year old, adopters
are required to attend puppy socialization classes at their own expense.

Good tempered and eager to meet people, I'm one of the many dogs who was transferred here from Lancaster. I'm so grateful to be
at Pet Orphans and I'm more than ready for the next chapter of my life story…the one where I'm adopted by people who will
give me a home. I'm not even sure what a real home is. I do know that I can't wait to be settled into a loving environment where
I can feel safe, secure, and LOVED for the first time in my life and for the rest of my life. After the loneliness I've endured,
I feel I deserve all this and more. It's pretty amazing that I'm as people friendly as I am, after the treatment I've endured.
But, I can't help feeling that most folks are kind and caring and that my heroes will come for me before too long. Approach my

Hi…I'm really good looking, aren't I? I thought you'd agree with me! Full of a lust for life, I'm
not too content to be living in a kennel run and I hope my life situation changes rapidly. This is a very
nice place to stay until I'm adopted. But, it certainly doesn't compare to living in a home where I can
receive constant love and direction in life. It doesn't take me long to bond with humans and I really
believe that once you spend a few minutes with me, you'll be overwhelmed by a feeling of love! I'm very
active, full of affection, and I have a great personality. The nice people here are even offering to pay
for a training session so that I can learn appropriate "in home" behavior. Then, we'll go to
more training classes together which will help us bond and also will help me be the very best behaved
doggie I can be.That will be fun and educational for us both! So, come on in and ask for Austin. You'll be

I know that I'm not the usual "Benji type" dog. But, let this be a lesson for you to NOT assume
that a name is who the dog is! (deep, huh?) I'd sure love to be adopted quickly so I don't have to be an
orphan for long. I don't know why I ended up living in a kennel run and I really would prefer to reside in
a home where I'll receive the love and care I so badly want. Look how my ears stand straight up. That
means I'll listen to you when you want me to do something! (Sure it does). Anyway, I'd like to call your
attention to the fact that I get along well with other dogs, and I'd love to be the second canine kid in

Hi there. Aren't I about the cutest thing you've ever seen? I realize that good looks aren't everything,
but they sure help! Anyway, I can be what they call a "handful" but I'm also a loving little guy
who appreciates any time spent with humans. When I get the affection I crave, I'm soooo happy. I also have
lots of fun playing with a ball and I'm super happy when I have a squeaky toy in my mouth. I'm not too
hard to please…as long as I have someone who will love and care for me. Pet Orphans is willing to
help with my transition to your home, with the in home training session. I think that it will be well
worth your while to come on in, spend some time with me, and fall in love! Full grown and full of
personality, I do need to be the only doggie in our environment. But, I'm so full of life and love that I

I can't believe that I'm the resident who's been here the longest! Unique and gregarious, I cherish time spent with
humans and love going for walks. Basically, I'm a smiley, playful girl who's eagerly awaiting someone to come in and
discover what an astounding dog I am. Delightfully "different" looking, I've decided to allow my unusual
facial structure to be an advertisement for my phenomenal personality. A big girl with a huge heart, I'll be forever
grateful for the opportunity to show my special someone how much love, light and laughter I'll add to their existence.

Hello, I'm Glenda. Aren't I pretty? As you can see by the smile on my face, I'm a happy girl. I'm also
extremely eager to connect with my special someone who will decide that I'm the perfect choice as a
canine companion. I was here when I was younger and I was so happy to be adopted. Sadly, it didn't work
out, so I'm here again. I'm longing to be in my own home where I can feel secure and loved, and grow old
with people who appreciate me for the remarkable dog I am. Affectionate and playful, I'll do everything
in my power to bring smiles to your face daily. Full grown and full of hugs, I should share with you that
I can jump over some fences and I can also climb them, so you need to have fencing in your yard that I
can't manipulate my way out of! I adore going for walks and am actually quite easy and well behaved when
I'm taken on an excursion on leash. If you have another dog, bring him or her along to meet me. Oh, I
almost forgot to tell you…I'm very smart. I already will sit on command (usually), and I'm willing
to learn whatever you want to teach me. I feel that I'm missing out on so much that life has to offer and
I can't wait to learn what it's like to be in my own place, with people who will give me the permanent
home I deserve.
Although I can be somewhat shy when I first meet people, it doesn't take long for me to warm
up and show folks what a special doggie I am. In fact, I adore having long conversations with
people who are petting me. Honestly…I'm not hesitant to vocalize my pleasure when
being scratched in "just the right places." Perhaps, we can have a soul touching
chit chat when you come to meet me. We can really get to know each other before you adopt me
and take me home for my happy ending. Anyway, be sure to ask the Kennel people about this
amazing ability I have to let my feelings known! I also love to cuddle in trusted people's

Although, hopefully, you're educated about Pit Bulls, and you know that we are loving, loyal, and incredibly
affectionate. I was, thankfully, transferred here from a horrendous living situation in Lancaster. I, along
with many other canines, was blessed and fortunate to end up at Pet Orphans. Now, I'm praying that I'll find a
real, everlasting, home soon. I'm a bit timid when I first meet people as I haven't (until now) been fortunate
enough to have many kind souls in my life. I'm young and eager to bond with the people who will give me what I've
yearned for my entire life…human love and kindness. I'm praying that I don't have to wait long. I'm so

came in here with my babies and nursed them until they were ready to be weaned. Then, they all got adopted (thank the
heavens) and now I'm all alone, wondering why I haven't found my own true love yet. I've been here way too long and

Exuberant with a capital "E" that's me! Not only am I full of activity, but I'm super good
looking as well. I can only hope that very soon, I'm adopted and that I get to live with my guardians in
my own home again. This time, I aim to stay secure, with my people, for the rest of my life! Good natured
and happy to goof off with other canines, I'm hoping that I don't have to wait long before I get adopted.
Even though I'm past the puppy stages of life, I'm still a kid at heart and want a mommy and daddy to care

A super active and affectionate canine, I'm barely an adult and I want to discover what it feels like to belong with experienced dog people
who truly care about me. Going on long walks is one of my favorite things to do (besides getting lots of love from humans). I'm really not
thrilled to be living in a shelter environment when I could be in my very own home space, knowing how wonderful it feels to be a beloved family
member. I notice some of the other residents here, leaving with people who have chosen them to be part of their family, and I wonder, "why
not me?" You'd be passing up a terrific opportunity to find true love if you pass up the chance to get to know, and adopt me. By the way,

Peppy and full of love for humans, I'm a youthful girl who seeks my permanent home where I can settle in and
realize the true meaning of happiness. From my saucy personality to my heart of gold, I'll be forever

relax and truly discover how it feels to be a member of a family. I can't believe how long I've been an
orphan. I always feel sad when I hear that someone else here got adopted. Why, oh why, not me? I'll do

leader of our pack. I'll be ecstatic when someone decides that I'm the girl for them and I can receive the

I'm a total love bug who's full of affection and kisses for people. I adore being stroked and I believe
that I'll make the perfect canine companion for a family with children over the age of 12 years. I was
here in January of this year, and I got adopted. Unfortunately, it didn't work out in my new home and I
